The United Nations (UN) is currently offering an Innovation & Programme Management Internship for graduate students and recent graduates interested in contributing to global peacekeeping and development initiatives. Responsibilities of Interns
Interns will work within the Digital Enablement Team (DET) and contribute to the Strategy for Digital Transformation of UN Peacekeeping (DTS), with the aim of enhancing the safety and security of peacekeepers and advancing technology-driven solutions for peacekeeping operations. Core tasks include:
- Supporting the development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes.
- Conducting survey initiatives and analyzing data for programme reports.
- Preparing written outputs on innovation and providing support for consultative meetings.
- Assisting in the facilitation of innovation projects and workshops.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following educational requirements:
- Enrolled in a graduate program (second degree or equivalent).
- In the final academic year of a Bachelor’s degree.
- Recently graduated with a degree from an accredited university.
Additional qualifications include:
- Proficiency in standard software applications.
- A strong interest in the work of the UN and a commitment to its ideals.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
Fluency in English is essential, and knowledge of other UN languages (French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish) is considered an asset.
