The United Nations (UN) is currently offering an Innovation & Programme Management Internship for graduate students and recent graduates interested in contributing to global peacekeeping and development initiatives. Hosted at the UN headquarters in New York, this full-time position is a unique opportunity for students to gain invaluable experience working within the US Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA) and the Department of Peace Operations (DPO).

Responsibilities of Interns

Interns will work within the Digital Enablement Team (DET) and contribute to the Strategy for Digital Transformation of UN Peacekeeping (DTS), with the aim of enhancing the safety and security of peacekeepers and advancing technology-driven solutions for peacekeeping operations. Core tasks include:

Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following  educational requirements:

  1. Enrolled in a graduate program (second degree or equivalent).
  2. In the final academic year of a Bachelor’s degree.
  3. Recently graduated with a degree from an accredited university.

Additional qualifications include:

Fluency in English is essential, and knowledge of other UN languages (French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish) is considered an asset.
