Zhejiang University (ZJU) has announced its 2025 International Undergraduate Talents Program, aimed at attracting top-performing international students for undergraduate studies. This initiative, led by the university’s International Education College, seeks to enhance student diversity and strengthen ZJU’s global academic reputation.
Program Overview
The program allows high schools from around the world to recommend outstanding students. Schools interested in participating must first apply for recommendation credentials, ensuring they meet ZJU’s standards.
Requirements for Participating High Schools:
- A strong emphasis on student development and holistic education.
- A track record of high-quality education.
- Proven ability to produce strong international student candidates.
- Adequate resources and facilities.
Criteria for Recommended Students:
- Must be non-Chinese nationals with excellent academic records and a strong interest in Chinese culture.
- For students studying at Chinese high schools: academic performance must generally rank within the top 10% of their grade.
- For students at overseas high schools: academic performance must generally rank within the top 5%.
- Must meet ZJU’s international undergraduate admission criteria.
- Requires a recommendation from their school’s principal.
How Schools Can Apply?
- Schools must apply for recommendation credentials by November 25, 2024.
- ZJU will review applications and decide based on the school’s overall educational performance and student outcomes.
- Schools with valid existing credentials do not need to reapply.

Student Selection Process:
- Approved schools will recommend students who meet the criteria. Student lists must be submitted by December 15, 2024.
- ZJU will review applications and may conduct interviews or exams. Final selections will be announced by January 15, 2025.
Admitted students in Chinese-taught programs will be given priority consideration for the Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship 2025.
