Applications Are Now Open For UCD Iseult Honohan Doctoral Scholarship 2025

Pursue your PhD ambitions at UCD’s School of Politics and International Relations (SPIRe), ranked top 100 globally. Apply now for the prestigious UCD Iseult Honohan Doctoral Scholarship 2025.

This fully funded scholarship is named in honor of Dr. Iseult Honohan, one of UCD’s pioneering female PhD graduates, and aims to attract academically exceptional candidates to pursue cutting-edge research.

The UCD Iseult Honohan Doctoral Scholarship offers:

Full tuition fee coverage for the duration of the program (up to four years).
A generous living stipend of €25,000 per year for up to four years.
Open to both EU and non-EU applicants.

Eligibility Standards

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Full-time enrollment in one of the following UCD SPIRe PhD programs with a September 2025 start date:
- PhD Politics and International Relations.
- PhD Quantitative and Computational Social Science (with a SPIRe supervisor only).
A minimum grade of 2.1 (GPA: 3.6) in a relevant Master’s degree.
Applications are not open to continuing students, those with non-September start dates, students transferring part of their PhD to UCD, or those with supervisors outside SPIRe.

Application Process

Prepare your application documents, including original academic transcripts, a detailed research proposal, and supporting materials as per the PhD program’s application procedure.

Skype interviews may be requested as part of the selection process.
Enrollment is strictly for September 2025.
