Dalian University of Technology Offers Fully Funded China Government Scholarships for 2025
Dalian University of Technology (DUT) welcomes aspiring international students to pursue postgraduate studies in China through the prestigious Chinese Government Scholarship Program 2025. The High-Level Postgraduate Program and Silk-Road Program scholarships, funded by the Ministry of Education, P.R.C., provide exceptional opportunities for outstanding global talent to study at DUT starting September 2025.
Sponsorship Package of DUT-CSC
The DUT-CSC scholarship covers three years for Master’s degree students and 4 years for Ph.D. candidates. While most courses are taught in Chinese, a range of programs is also offered in English to cater to non-Chinese speaking students.
Recipients of this scholarship will enjoy comprehensive benefits, including tuition waiver, free on DUT campus accommodation, and a generous monthly stipend—3,000 CNY for Master’s students and 3,500 CNY for Ph.D. candidates. Additionally, recipients will receive comprehensive medical insurance during their study period.
Eligibility Criteria
- Citizenship: Must be a non-Chinese citizen in good health.
- Educational Background and Age: Master’s: Bachelor’s degree holders under 35 years old and for Ph.D students must have a Master’s degree under the age of 40 years.
- Language Requirements: For Chinese-taught programs, applicants are required to have an HSK Level 4 certificate with a minimum score of 180 for majors in science, engineering, economics, and management, while humanities and foreign language majors require an HSK Level 5 certificate with the same minimum score. For English-taught programs, applicants must provide an IELTS score of 5.5 or higher, or a TOEFL score of 80 or above. However, exceptions are made for applicants from English-speaking countries or those who have previously completed their education in English.
How to Submit Application for CSC
The application window at international student office of Dalian University of Technology is accepting online applications till February 15, 2025. Interested candidates must first complete the Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form on the CSC portal (https://www.campuschina.org/) using DUT’s agency number 10141.
Applicants should then fill out the DUT application form on the DUT website (https://sie.dlut.edu.cn/info/1024/1991.htm). After completing both forms, applicants need to compile their required documents into a single ZIP file and email it to dutsice@dlut.edu.cn with the subject line formatted as: DUT application number + passport last name + passport first name.
Key documents needed to apply for this scholarship include academic transcripts, diplomas, a detailed study plan (minimum 1000 words), 2 recommendation letters, a health examination report, language proficiency certificates, and a no-criminal record certificate. Applicants are encouraged, though not required, to secure an acceptance letter from a DUT supervisor to strengthen their application.
